Fantastic color all around

Everything I paint and design is influenced by my past life in Cape Town, South Africa, using brilliant tones of saturated color that reflect the heat of Africa as well as colors that reflect the softer hues of the ever changing Atlantic.

Inspired and passionate abstract artist in love with form and color

After 20 plus years in the corporate world I quit my job in August 2021 and started following my passion as a full time artist. And that's when I started my Etsy shop called phatlizzardart.

I've been in the arts for many years, first as a full time ceramic artist in Cape Town, South Africa then after immigration to Canada in 1997, as an abstract artist.

I operate under the name phatlizzardart. My work is abstract and I love, love color and I believe this depicts my attitude to life. It's abstracted form and shape that one sees in everyday life that inspires my art and gets my creative juices flowing, it's the fantastic color all around us that drives my brush to move across the canvas and fill in blank spaces.
